Delhi is the centre of art, beauty, culture and rich heritage from ancient times, it shines bright in all its glory with the vividness of Delhiites and some pristine landmarks that you might be unaware of.
From ancient streets to modern-day architecture, every inch of Delhi is worth a click, it packs a punch with all kinds of picturesque places tucked in its corners.



Here’s the list of ten not so popular places which will bring the cray photographer out of you:


1. Majnu ka Tila: Tibetan Colony

Also known as Delhi’s Little Tibet, Majnu ka Tila is full of colourful and narrow streets and offers a profusion of cafes with various cuisines and ambience. It embraces us with a zen vibe, full of picturesque temples, cafes, restaurants, bookshops and guest houses. The place is definitely a treat to the eyes and the camera!



2. Mirza Ghalib ki Haveli

Amid the busy streets of Chandni chowk, you are going to find a captivating heritage site- the Mirza Ghalib ki Haveli. With a rich Mughal style architecture and an in-house museum, the Haveli is filled with beautiful paintings, engravings and artefacts which will be a treat to capture.



3. Bhardwaj Lake, Asola

In the middle of the Aravalli range, you are going to find one of the most beautiful and scenic place in Delhi i.e., Bhardwaj Lake, Asola. Wildlife/Nature photographers should not miss the chance to visit this place as it is situated in a wildlife sanctuary and hence, is home to a number of birds, butterflies and insects along with a beautiful lake surrounded by the mountains!



4. Bijay Mandal

Build in a typical Toghlaqi structure, Bijay Mandal has an unusual architecture with several doors and windows in each direction which makes it different from other heritage sites. The place provides a rustic feel and is filled with both man-made and natural beauty.



5. DLF SAKET

To get a taste of urban lifestyle and modern architecture, DLF Saket can be your go-to place! Full of pleasant cafes, restaurants and international high street brands stores, it is one of the most popular malls in South Delhi.



6. Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is a beautifully built observatory in the 1720s that consists of around 13 architectural astronomy instruments. Its symmetrical structure and rich architecture makes it a good place to click amazing pictures!



7. Agrasen Ki Baoli

Situated right in the heart of the city, Agrasen Ki Baoli has a different charm in itself with a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The beautifully symmetrical architecture of the step well offers amazing backdrops for picture-perfect portraits.



8. Champa Gali

Champa Gali has become a one-stop place for small homely cafes, art galleries and quaint little stores with a picturesque, postcard vibe. The live music gigs, spoken poetry sessions, handicraft stores, charming cafes and restaurants are definitely worth a click.



9. Purana Qila

Being one of the oldest forts in Delhi, Purana Qila narrates the history of Delhi in its every detail. If you want to capture the evident glory of Mughal art, Purana Qila would be the place to be.



10.Tughlaqabad Fort Delhi

The not so famous Tughlaqabad Fort is a tranquil place to augment your photography skills. Though it’s not very well maintained, the fort has a serene and charming vibe.
